“I’m not sure what this is, but I LIKE IT,” the Atlanta-born singer wrote on Twitter.
The singer-songwriter-host enters the ranking at No. 50 this week boasting big gains on Twitter and YouTube. In the week ending March 26, Nam earned 31,000 Twitter followers (up 573 percent from the week before), 88,000 Twitter mentions (up 266 percent) and 85,000 Twitter reactions (up 547 percent), according to NextBigSound. Over on his official YouTube page, the star gained an additional 33,000 subscribers, which is up 560 percent from the previous week.
Eric noticed the achievement and shared a message on — where else? — Twitter. “Dang, y’all put me on the Billboard social charts for the first time,” he wrote. “I’m not sure what this is, but I LIKE IT.”

To answer Eric’s question, the Social 50 is powered by data tracked by music analytics company Next Big Sound and ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Wikipedia. The chart’s methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers with artist page views and engagement. The chart’s latest tracking week started on March 20 and ended March 26.
The past charting week has been a particularly engaging one for Nam as the star shared a phone number for fans to text him on Twitter and he has, seemingly, been personally responding. The Atlanta-born star has also been livestreaming on YouTube during quarantine and recently had new video interviews post with the likes of Allure and Elle that he shared with fans.
